Biography

Francisco Vedreño-Santos received the MSc degree in Electrical Engineering in 2008, the MSc in Energy Technologies for Sustainable Development in 2012 and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 in the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Valencia (Spain).

From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a Junior Researcher in several European institutions, such as the Université de Picardie-Jules Verne, Amiens (France), École Centrale de Nantes, Nantes (France) and the Austrian Institute of Technology, Vienna (Austria). In 2014, he joined the University of Sheffield, Sheffield (UK), as a Research Associate in Electrical Machines in collaboration with the Sheffield Siemens Wind Power Research Centre (S2WP). In 2016, he joined the Edinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh (UK), where he is currently a Lecturer in Electronic & Electrical Engineering in the School of Engineering & Built Environment.

His research interests include diagnostics and condition monitoring of electric machines, design and control of power electronics for wind power applications and signal processing.
