Biography
Jackie commenced her career as a Nurse in 1977 working in areas of Child Health and Adult Health. She qualified as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse in 1981 and as a Registered General Nurse in 1982. Before moving in to Higher Education, she was a team leader working with community nurses, where she achieved a BA in Community Health. Jackie joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2002, completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in 2005 and her Masters in Nursing and Applied Education in 2008. She is based in the School of Health and Social Care and has a varied role. Jackie currently teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes, has link lecturer responsibilities and is the lead for Credit Rating and CPD/Consultancy within the School.
