Biography

Dr. Kamyab Givaki joined the Edinburgh Napier University as a lecturer in Electrical Engineering in 2018. He received his PhD in Electrical engineering from Strathclyde University in 2017. He started his career as a lecturer in electrical power engineering with Glasgow Caledonian University. He then joined University of Strathclyde as a research associate, investigating stability and control of power networks with energy storage. His main research interests and experiences are in the areas of power electronics, converter control for grid connection of renewable energies, control and operation of HVDC systems.
