Rory MacLellan


Rory MacLellan is currently lecturing in Tourism at Edinburgh Napier University. His teaching and research interests cluster around tourism and the natural environment, including rural tourism, sustainable tourism, ecotourism, wildlife tourism and niche markets in outdoor activities. His recent research and teaching interests and responsibilities have included Tourism and Political change in Scotland, Land Ownership and community leadership in tourism, Sustainability and Tourism in Malta, Organisational Approaches to Tourism Development in Scotland and The Management of Tourism in Scotland’s National Parks. He has done consultancy and published on aspects of tourism and public policy and tourism in the Scottish natural environment including: articles on political change and tourism; wildlife holidays; sustainable tourism; and a co-edited book titled ‘Tourism in Scotland’ (1998).
