Susan is the Director of the Entrepreneurship Division at the Edinburgh Institute, Edinburgh Napier University. She has established, built and diversified the activities of Edinburgh Institute for Entrepreneurship (previously the Centre for Entrepreneurship) over 16 years. Her remit is to encourage graduate entrepreneurship and the overall development of enterprise knowledge and skills. She has developed a ‘pracademic’ philosophy in the Institute’s teaching which requires the teaching team to have both academic qualifications and business experience to ensure a practitioner focus in all delivery. Susan is a visiting lecturer at HAW Hamburg, Hamburg School of Business Administration, and ECUST (East China University of Science and Technology), Shanghai, on the MBA programme. At HAW Hamburg and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) she designed and leads a team to deliver the International Entrepreneurship Exchange. Susan has successfully completed a doctorate with Edinburgh Napier. Other roles; Vice Chair, Dunedin Canmore Enterprise, (The trading arm of Dunedin Canmore Group, which includes Dunedin Canmore Housing one of Scotland’s largest housing associations). Director of Wrapturous Ltd and Other Office Ltd.
