Design of an electrical circuit testing device
Considerable time is currently spent in the testing of plugs and circuitry in new build houses and housing association properties in order to obtain certification of safety This process involves the physical removal of sockets from walls in order to run the tests .This product has the ability to simply plug into the wall socket in situ and to run the relevant diagnostic test. The product potentially saves a huge amount of downtime in building sites and in housing association stock where currently power has to be switched off and sockets removed. There is significant potential for developing a product in Scotland for sale into the construction sector using the company as an appropriate vehicle.
This voucher will help the design features of the product to be developed in line with British Standards.
The product will be manufactured using Scottish suppliers enhancing manufacturing jobs and allowing the company to recruit people for other product development ideas in the sector.
