We understand that flexibility is key to our students, so we offer many postgraduate courses that begin in January. Starting at this time of year has many advantages, including being in Scotland in time for Burns Night!

Starting in January, you will study over three trimesters with a summer vacation after trimester one.

  • Trimester 1: January to April
  • Teaching break: May to August
  • Trimester 2: September to December
  • Trimester 3: January to April

Who is Robert Burns and what is haggis?

Robert Burns was an 18th-century Scottish poet and lyricist whose work is famous across the world. Perhaps you have sung Auld Lang Syne at New Year? His life and works are commemorated every 25 January with Burns Suppers across the globe. The centre piece of the supper is the haggis - offal mixed with herbs and spices. It's tastier than it sounds!
