Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained a Bachelor degree with lower second class (2:2) or above.
Our courses
English language
Students who are applying to an undergraduate programme are required to have completed the KCSE English Grade C/6.
Students applying to a postgraduate programme are not required to take an English language test like IELTS, as long as the bachelor degree was taught and examined in English.
Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.
Undergraduate
International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - East African School Certificate/Cambridge Overseas School Certificate/KCSE normally with at least 5 grade C’s or above*
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - East African School Certificate/Cambridge Overseas School Certificate/KCSE with good grades and successful completion of one further years higher study OR Successful Completion of Diploma/Ordinary Diploma/Ordinary Technician Diploma/University Diploma with 50% or above
Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
Academic requirement - Successful Completion of Bachelor degree with Pass grade OR diploma equivalent.
*Applicants who do not meet the criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
