This extensive collection of books and memorabilia relating to Robert Louis Stevenson, including rare editions and previously unseen images of the author of Treasure Island, Kidnapped and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, have been catalogued and can be accessed at Mehew Stevenson Catalogue. The collection also contains material on George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, among others.

Visitors can book to consult the Ernest Mehew Robert Louis Stevenson Collection where it is on display at Edinburgh Napier University's Merchiston Campus, on Mondays and Tuesdays by emailing heritage@napier.ac.uk.

The Ernest Mehew Robert Louis Stevenson Collection was kindly donated to Edinburgh Napier University by the executor of the estate of the late Dr Ernest Mehew, and constitutes the largest Robert Louis Stevenson archive held by a British University.

Edinburgh Napier University's expertise in Stevenson studies is reflected in the University's Robert Louis Stevenson website, the most comprehensive web resource dedicated to Robert Louis Stevenson, and home to the on-line version of the Journal of Stevenson Studies.

Watch this space for more news on the collection as we prepare to catalogue it and make it available in the Stevenson Room at Merchiston Campus.
