Our international work

We believe that giving our staff, students, researchers and partners an international perspective improves graduate employability, enriches the student experience, helps us to understand and solve global problems and has a positive impact on communities – both locally and around the world.

We have 6,384 international students, representing 35% of our overall student population. Together with 2,605 students from across the EU, international students from over 100 countries make up almost half of all our students.

Globally over 4,500 students are studying on our transnational programmes delivered in China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, France, and Switzerland.

We are the largest UK provider of higher education in Hong Kong where more than 3,000 students take our courses every year.

Our international strategy sets out the process for how we will continue to build Edinburgh Napier’s reputation as an internationalised university with a global outlook.

Global research

Across the world our researchers are creating innovative solutions to global problems.

Internationalising our work

We've got a bold vision for 2020. We want to build strategic partnerships around the world, grow our transnational education links, and work with our city to enhance the local, cultural and economic benefits of our international profile and reach.
