MBA Taster Session - ‘Business as usual is no longer an option’, Edinburgh Napier University

Challenge your views by developing greater business competence through the Edinburgh Napier MBA.

Our taster session provides you with an opportunity to preview our MBA programme, meet our programme Director and ask any questions you may have about our Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

Edinburgh Napier University have been running the MBA programme for more than twenty years. Our contemporary MBA enables students to become more effective leaders through the holistic and integrated approach to the way we teach business skills.

Edinburgh Napier MBA will enable you to:

DBA Taster Session, Edinburgh Napier University

Do you or your organisation have business issues and challenges which you would like to address through undertaking a project which contributes to a doctoral qualification? 
 
Are you looking to add to your personal and professional knowledge, skills and experience in a more tailored manner? 
Would you like to join the DBA network of managers and leaders to share knowledge and experience?
 
The DBA is a professional doctorate programme designed to develop applied research for business, public services and non-profit organisations which addresses real management and leadership issues and challenges. The programme is aimed at senior managers and leaders currently employed in an organisation that is committed to the continuing development of its employees. 

The taster session will cover:

  • the philosophy behind this programme
  • rationales for joining the programme and potential outcomes
  • structure of the programme
  • learning activities and assessments
  • question and answer session

Edinburgh Napier University Jazz Summer School

Venue: Craighouse Campus, Edinburgh Napier University

A week long intensive, hands-on course covering theoretical and practical approaches to improvisation and performance. Designed to develop jazz playing skills for musicians of all ages and abilities, the course includes
instrumental and ensemble coaching from Scotland’s finest professional jazz musicians/educators under the directorship of Edinburgh Napier University’s Jazz Musician in Residence Haftor Medbøe. 

Hosted at the University’s superbly equipped Music School the course takes place in the idyllic Craighouse Campus, and offers opportunities to hear concerts at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival in the evening. The week culminates in a public performance by the students performing in ensemble groups.

TARC International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2010: Emerging Trends in Higher Education Learning and Teaching, Tunku Abdul Rahman College

The objectives of this conference are to:
-Establish a platform to share research findings focusing on emerging trends and issues pertaining to methodologies and strategies in learning, teaching and assessment.
-Discuss the use of technology and its impact on learning, teaching and assessment environments at higher education institutions.
-Promote collaboration, discussion and sharing of knowledge, experience and expertise on development in learning, teaching and assessment.
-Share best practices in teaching, learning, assessment and institutional policies and governance in higher education.

The conference will comprise keynote addresses, plenary sessions, parallel sessions, posters and workshops over the duration of 2 days.
