International Student Support
The Business School welcomes applications from students from all around the world. Our flexible undergraduate courses provide opportunities for international students to continue their studies at Edinburgh Napier University at a level which fully recognises previous academic experience and study. At postgraduate level, The Business School recognises appropriate international qualifications as an entry route to Masters-level study.
Students studying on Business School courses have access to an extensive support network designed to ensure that the transition to a different teaching and learning environment is as effective as possible. This support network extends from pre-entry advice on applications, through to arrival and ongoing academic development and support.

The Business School also provides a four-week orientation programme specifically designed for applicants who have received an unconditional offer of a place on a University programme. For more information see our English Courses section.
Arrival – Business School International Students have full access to the support services provided by the University’s International Office. This includes a “meet and greet” service for International Students and a specific International Student Orientation Programme. Further details are available from the International Office. International students then participate fully in our specific individual programme induction activities.
Academic Development and Support – The Business School is fully committed to providing the appropriate level of academic/related support to allow international students to achieve maximum benefit from their programmes of study. English Language support is provided in a number of ways e.g. EFL modules as part of an undergraduate programme and English Study Support Classes which are open to all international students.
In addition, Academic Support Advisers provide a range of study skills advice/sessions which are available to all Business School students. These provide guidance on writing assignments, preparing presentations, approaching exams and preparing Dissertations.
The International Office
The International Office at Edinburgh Napier University provides support and assistance from the moment you make your initial enquiry, right through to your graduation. We have designated International Support Officers who are there to provide a comprehensive support system and who can advise you on a whole range of issues including what to pack, visas, immigration, general welfare and employment while in the UK.
We organise a specific International Orientation Programme at the start of each trimester to ensure that you know how to make the most of your time with us at Edinburgh Napier. We organise tours of Edinburgh and evening social events, which will give you the chance to meet and socialise with your fellow students.
The International Support Officers are also on hand to provide you with assistance throughout the application process. We also make frequent visits overseas so please contact the International Office to find out if someone will be in your area. We would be happy to meet with you if possible.
