Mercy is a passionate industry professional with dynamic experience in event management, associations, consulting, and sales. She holds an MSc in International Tourism Destination Management from Edinburgh Napier University, where her research focused on strategic alliances in the business events sector, using BestCities Global Alliance as a case study. Before the MSc, Mercy played a pivotal role in global projects as a Project Consultant at GainingEdge where she built valuable skills and experience in destination advisory. Having started as GainingEdge Scholar, Mercy worked on a project for the African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE) and authored an insightful report on the African Association Landscape. Her industry leadership earned her the Africa MICE Future Leader of the Year award in 2019. Currently, Mercy is part of the team at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
