In collaboration with Reactec Ltd and SFC funding, the School of Engineering and the Built Environment hosted Professor Setsuo Maeda. Professor Maeda is head of the Human Response to Vibration Research Laboratory (HRVRL) in Kindai University (Osaka, Japan). He is an internationally recognised expert in human vibration exposure having chaired the ISO Standards Committee and conducted over 30 years of post-doctoral research. The vibrotactile threshold shift tests were conducted in collboration with Dr Mark Taylor (Civil Engineering) and Reactec Ltd.
