  A major aim is to boost capacity in quantitative methods in Scotland by pooling the resources of the Scottish social science community and drawing on the expertise of those who are already trained to an advanced level in quantitative methods. Through the development of networks both within and between these HEIs, the Network will aim to
upskill those quantitatively minded people who require retraining and skills enhancement, and inspire a new generation of scholars and practitioners to develop their interest in and ability to use quantitative methods.
