Dame Joan Stringer International Student Travel Fund

This fund has been established by the outgoing Principal to support the University’s vision that every student studying at Edinburgh Napier University should have the opportunity to travel overseas as part of their studies.

Scholarships of up to £1000 will be available and will be awarded as one-off contributions. They will support unique overseas activities which students would not otherwise have the opportunity to undertake and which are directly relevant to the student’s course of study.

Eligibility

Open to full-time matriculated undergraduates in second year and above, and to full time matriculated postgraduates who have completed their undergraduate degree at Edinburgh Napier University.

Application process

Applications are invited in October of each academic year. The next round of funding for 2014/15 will open for applications on Monday 2 February 2015. The closing date is Monday 2 March at 4pm.

Download a copy of the application form and follow the guidelines carefully. You must provide a signed supporting statement from your supervisor/lecturer/other academic. Please ensure that they are aware of your plans in good time, as their statement forms an essential part of your application.

Apply to either the Student Grant Initiative or Dame Joan Stringer Travel Fund using this form. There is no need to specify which fund you are applying to; this will be determined by the Awarding Committee.
