All students attending university in Scotland are classed as either Scottish / EU, Rest of the UK (England, Northern Ireland & Wales) or overseas students for tuition fee calculation. There are considerable differences between home and overseas rates, so it’s important that we get every assessment right.
Guidance for RUK students
We determine tuition fees in accordance with the Education (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 2011. In most cases we can classify you on the information contained on your UCAS or University Application Form. However if this is not possible we will ask you to complete a Tuition Fee Classification Questionnaire so we can assess your fee status. Guidance on how to complete the form is available in the document.
Further information and advice
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland has downloadable forms and information to advise you on your fee status.
