AI is increasingly impacting all areas of life: how we communicate, explore the world and keep it safe. We’re delighted to share with you details of this School of Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment exhibition which will allow you to see all the ways in which the School is helping shape the future of AI.
Have a go at controlling robot dogs, explore virtual reality, and meet Euclid, the Schools robot face who can read your facial expressions. This event is open to the public

25 April: Regeneration - Leading with Conscience
Join this event hosted by Edinburgh Napier University and participate in an interactive forum with experts and leaders from the business, public and third sectors in Scotland.
Through a series of case studies, panels and Q&As, the event will discuss how organisations need to think critically and creatively about their role, how to use their conscience to guide actions, reconciling the competing interests of different stakeholders and how to create an organisation that is fair, open and transparent. One that does the right thing while building a successful organisation.

18 & 19 May: Le Tour Du Hack 2024
Edinburgh Napier University's Cyber Security Society (ENUSEC) invites you to Le Tour Du Hack, a two-day annual cyber-security conference and Capture the Flag event.
Day One takes the form of a conference covering all things cyber. Speakers range from students presenting their research projects to industry professionals sharing their insights. An afterparty will end the day, with more information coming soon.
Day two is an all-day Capture The Flag (CTF) competition with hacking challenges for everyone from complete beginners, right up to expert CTF veterans. Never been to a CTF before? Want to learn more? Now is your chance!

Hints to help you with every step of the planning process.

Plan in advance to get the date in diaries and consider when you would like to hold the event – what time of year (summer, Christmas, a memorable date, 5, 10, 25, 30, 40, 50-year anniversary of graduating). Bear in mind you may wish to avoid school holidays and other busy times of the year.

Decide where you would like to meet and if it will be a formal or informal event. The Alumni Team can help plan tours of Edinburgh Napier campuses and offer advice on accommodation nearby for those travelling from afar.

Draw up a plan for finding your lost contemporaries - we can help you find and contact your former classmates and invite them on your behalf. Contact the alumni team with information on whom you are looking for, and we can advise if we have their details. Whilst we cannot give out personal contact details, we can contact alumni with information about the event and ask them to reply to you directly. We can also help promote your event via our website, e-newsletter, and social media channels.
