Entry requirements
Undergraduate
To apply for our bachelors courses you should have completed one of the following,
Hong Kong Advanced Level Certificate (HKALE)
Where our A-Level requirement is:
- A Level CCC = HKALE DDD
- A Level BCC = HKALE CDD
- A Level BBC = HKALE CCD
Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)
Pass four core subjects at Level 3 or above in HKDSE with three elective subjects at:
- Grade 333 (for A Level requirement CCC)
- Grade 433 (for A Level requirement BCC)
- Grade 443 (for A Level requirement BBC)

Postgraduate
You will be eligible to apply if you have gained a bachelor (Honours) degree at 2:2 or above. If you have gained a bachelors degree (ordinary) you may also be considered if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry. Please contact our International Team for more information.

English language
If you are applying for a bachelor programme you will be required to have completed the HKDSE English Language at Grade 3 with Grade 3 or better in each individual component of language learning.
If you are applying for a Master’s programme you will be required to have completed a bachelor degree that has been taught and examined in English within the last two years.

Pathway programmes
Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC) is an embedded on campus college for international students to start their studies at Edinburgh Napier University. It is located in the historic, city centre campus of Merchiston, with easy access to student accommodation.
Pathway programmes at ENUIC prepare students for their chosen future degree with academic and English language support. ENUIC offers students the option between International Stage One, International Stage Two, or an International Incorporated Masters.
Undergraduate
International Year One
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Form 5 - 3 academic subjects pass / E in 3 academic subjects / Level 2 in 3 academic subjects, or HKDSE 112. Health Science related subjects would require 222.
International Year Two
English language requirement – IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
Academic requirement - Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE): minimum of levels 222
Postgraduate
International Incorporated Masters
– One Term IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
– Two Terms IELTS 5.5 overall with 5.5 minimum in all components
Academic requirement - Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree: Associate Degree with 60% or above Degree with Third Class or diploma equivalent or Bachelors degree of GPA 2.4/
