The twelfth of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals is Responsible Consumption and Production - to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
Approach
We work to ensure we procure everything we need responsibly through our procurement team.
We're also making efforts to ensure our catering provision is sustainable - visit our Food and Sustainability page for more information.
Across the University, we are committed to continually reducing waste. We require all works and contractors to comply with standards for responsible disposal of waste, including through our Code of Practice for the Management of University Contractors/Works.
Research
Our research centres place sustainable consumption and production as key, through our Centre for Business Innovations and Sustainable Solutions and our Centre for Conservation and Restoration Science.
Research outputs on responsible consumption and production are produced across the university, e.g. outputs relating to the circular economy.
Teaching
Our curriculum embeds sustainability as a principle through our Learning and Teaching strategy and our ENhance Curriculum Framework.
