How data and technology are shaping the future of the creative industries
The 2021 Creative Informatics Innovation Showcase is taking place online on the 8th and 9th of June, exploring ground-breaking new work from the creative industries in Edinburgh, South East Scotland and beyond.

Edinburgh Napier’s School of Computing is a partner in the event.
Highlights include an ‘In Conversation With’ Anne-Marie Imafidon (pictured top) Co-Founder of award-winning social enterprise Stemettes and host of the Women Tech Charge podcast.
Anne-Marie is a respected thought leader in the tech space, who has spoken across the globe for some of the world’s biggest digital companies and conferences, including Facebook, ASOS and Google.
There will also be an interactive performance from comedy duo Foxdog Studios, and a Creative Futures Panel exploring the implications of Scotland's AI Strategy and the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review for the creative industries.

The free event will offer the chance to find out more about innovative products, services and experiences that have been developed by creative individuals and organisations with funding and support Creative Informatics, a major research and development initiative led by the University of Edinburgh, delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, CodeBase, and Creative Edinburgh.
Attendees will hear how individuals and organisations working across the creative industries are harnessing the power of data and technology to advance their careers and businesses, with contributions from designers, artists, games developers, creative technologists and performers.
