An Edinburgh Napier International Tourism and Marketing Management student is hitting the right notes after appearances on two of the UK’s most-loved music quiz shows.
Fourth year student Peter Hamilton has embraced his knowledge and passion for all things musical with recent appearances on BBC One’s The Hit List and BBC Radio Two’s PopMaster quiz show.
Appearing on The Hit List earlier this year, Peter and his dad were competing against two other pairs to test their knowledge of music.
They managed to get through to the head-to-head round before agonisingly losing by one second.
Peter’s latest venture in the quiz world came with an appearance on BBC Radio Two’s PopMaster today (16 November).
The pop music knowledge quiz has aired every morning on the Ken Bruce show since February 1998.
Peter excelled in his appearance, scoring a whopping 33 to win.
After two tastes of high-profile quizzing, Peter has set his sights on further TV appearances.
He said: “I’ve been into music trivia since a young age and we used to listen to PopMaster in the car on the way to Blackpool when I was younger. I’ve been applying all year to be on it and today was my day. I really enjoyed being on air with Ken Bruce.
“I hope to do more general knowledge quiz shows in the future. I’d love to do something like The Chase or Mastermind."
We’ll watch this space, Peter!
