This amazing partnership which has already delivered well over £1 million in support for students is centred around education, employability and entrepreneurship, over the years providing access to scholarships, project grants, employment experience, support for new and small businesses, grants to freelancers, help with accessing technology, as well as personal development support – to name just a few areas.

Matt Hutnell, Director, Santander Universities UK, said: “Santander is committed to supporting higher education, as well as local communities across the UK. We’re proud to continue our partnership with Edinburgh Napier University for a further three years to ensure we can work together in providing even more opportunities which will benefit both students and the local community.”

Professor Andrea Nolan, Principal of Edinburgh Napier, said: “Santander have been a fantastic partner to the University over the past 12 years, never more so than through the pandemic when their support was a difference maker for many students in financial difficulties. I am truly appreciative of their sustained commitment to our students.  We are looking forward to the next three years as the partnership develops and deepens.”

Clive Gee, Development Manager at the University, added: “We are so grateful for the continuing support from Santander Universities. They have provided so many opportunities for students at Edinburgh Napier over the years and it is wonderful to have reaffirmed our shared commitment for a further three years.”
