Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) has been named the best in Scotland across a range of categories in prestigious awards decided by the views of tens of thousands of students.

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) are the largest annual awards in the UK where the outcome is decided exclusively by those who study at institutions up and down the country.Edinburgh Napier University's Criaglockhart campus set against a cloudless blue sky

This year, organisers collected 42,000 reviews through campus visits and online – before using the data to pick the winners.

Edinburgh Napier University was named first in Scotland in the following categories:

  • University of the Year
  • Student Support
  • Facilities
  • Student Life
  • Lecturers & Teaching Quality
  • Postgraduate

In addition, Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association (ENSA) was voted as Best Student Union in Edinburgh.

Stuart Easter, Director of Student Recruitment & International at Edinburgh Napier University, said: “Our students are at the forefront of everything we do, and their views are an important guide of how we are performing as a University.

“Therefore we take a great deal of pride and encouragement from our success at these awards.

“I would like to thank those who took the time to share what they value about the student experience, as well as the areas we can continue to improve.

“We believe the results demonstrate how students can have a meaningful education here, supported by a community which will help them to make a positive difference."
