Fitness classes

We offer a variety of classes for every level of fitness and interest, including Bodypump, Circuits, Group Cycle, Yoga and Pilates at our Sighthill campus. Classes are open to students, staff and members of the public.

Classes

Hatton boxing

This pad-based boxing for fitness class is designed to assist weight loss, muscle tone, increased fitness and all the fun of training like a boxer without the contact.

Group cycle

Intense indoor group cycling that burns as much as 500 calories in just 40 minutes. This highly effective workout allows you to control your own level of intensity to suit your fitness ability.

This dynamic high-energy class is designed to give you a full body workout. You will move through a number of different stations that will challenge your individual level of fitness.

Pilates

Strengthen, elongate and restore your body to balance. Pilates is designed to engage your core and improve posture and flexibility.

Flow yoga

Yoga encompasses all areas of mind, body and spirit. Increase your strength and flexibility and find serenity in the moment.
 
Vinyasa yoga or flow yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement”. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. 

New gym, weight training and fitness facilities at Sighthill.BODYPUMP TM

You’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle while you squat, press, lift and curl with barbells to the latest chart-topping music.

A conditioning class focusing on your core muscles (abdominals, back, hips stability) combined with foam-rolling to help promote muscle flexibility. 


Les Mills Virtual fitness

We also provide the following Les Mills fitness classes at Sighthill which can be booked by calling or emailing the [EN]GAGE Sport Centre:

  • SH'BAM (30 or 45 minutes)
  • Body Balance (Flexibility (30 minutes), Strength (30 minutes) or Full class (60 minutes))
  • Body Combat (30 or 60 minutes)
