Exploring the possibilities of sound in storytelling.

Dynamic Range is a project by James Mavor which explores the possibilities of Augmented Reality in high end TV drama, in particular the use of sound in the development of characters, narrative and story world. This research feeds into a larger 6 x 60' TV thriller, The Hum, which is in development with Compact Pictures.

James Mavor is a screenwriter who combines his practice with teaching on the MA Screenwriting and Programme Leadership of the MFA Advanced Film Practice and the European Fiction Masters programme Kino Eyes.

Here you can watch a short experimental video, shot in Estonia, which relates to the themes and sound world of both projects.
