The School of Computing is located at the Merchiston campus near the city centre of Edinburgh. We have over 70 academics and 1,400 students, making us one of the UK’s largest university computing departments. 

We offer students a diverse range of degree programmes in areas such as cybersecurity and digital forensics, software engineering and games development as well as computing science, business computing, digital media, sound design and creative computing.

Our ethos is to develop work-ready graduates, so we pride ourselves on our one-year work placements and study abroad options as well as our practical and industry-focused way of teaching.
