The first step on a career path is often the hardest. That’s why we established our Student Grant Initiative. It helps Edinburgh Napier students start the journey from university into work on the best possible footing.

Students can apply for grants to cover the cost of enterprising projects – from work placements to international exchanges. The experience could open up many promising paths, strengthening their CVs and boosting their career prospects.

This year, the number of students applying for grants has risen by 160%. Unless we raise more funds, we will be forced to turn down deserving applications. The Student Grant Initiative is entirely dependent on the generosity of alumni, so we need your help.

Thanks to you, students could embark on projects in all kinds of areas – from nursing and sport, to technology and media. You could help them take the first step on a journey that leads to exciting and rewarding possibilities.

I was given funding to volunteer at a remote school in Tanzania... Now I’m looking forward to a career in global health, all thanks to my grant.

Ryan Latto

Adult Nursing, 2015

My grant enabled me to take part in the UK University Snowboarding Competition... It taught me skills that I can apply to my degree, and my future career.

Annika Hansl

Architectural Technology, 2017

Ryan and Annika’s journeys started with an application for a student grant. By giving monthly, you could ensure that more students like them are better equipped to head into the future. Every single penny of your gifts will go towards funding deserving projects. Thank you.
