The Talent and Resourcing Team are here to establish the needs of the University and identify platforms and people to help you achieve your goals. We focus on who and how we attract, assess, select, and how we onboard to provide a frictionless employee journey and help people be part of the University's success.

Our Talent and Resourcing Team is:

Muniba Khan

Team Lead/Senior Talent and Resourcing Consultant

I have worked in HR most of my career, both in private and public sectors, between the Middle East and United Kingdom. I have had the opportunity to build as well as lead recruitment teams which cater to vacancies for academic as well as professional services staff across the respective organizations I have worked with.

Being at ENU is my first experience and exposure of working in a UK based institution.

I consider myself a champion of advocating inclusion and diversity when and where possible in my professional and personal capacity. It is something that is close to my heart, and I am continually learning to improve in this space.

Besides work, you will find me taking long walks with my son or obsessing over cleaning my house.  I am eager to go back to my passion to write and make a difference for under privileged communities.

Rob Coverdale

Talent and Resourcing Consultant

My recruitment career started in 2008, when I transitioned from working in Corporate Sales, to helping individuals who were long-term unemployed into work.  I have worked in a number of sectors, from Engineering & Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing and the Care Sector, to Senior HR, Management and Executive Search but joining Napier has given me the opportunity to work in HE for the first time, which is proving to be majorly fulfilling. I get to meet individuals that are doing interesting and amazing research, as well as work with the Music and Film schools - an area which is also something that I am passionate about.

I am an aspiring composer in my spare time and write music in many different styles, but mainly orchestral themed for use in film and television. I
play a number of instruments and have played music all my life from piano and guitar studies when younger, to playing and recording with bands over the last 15 years.

Aside from that, I enjoy spending time with my family, going out exploring and learning as much as I can about life, history, people and whatever random topic takes my interest!

Holly Williamson

Talent and Resourcing Consultant

The opportunity to make a difference and challenge myself drew me to start my career in recruitment at ENU in 2021 as a Talent & Resourcing Assistant.

I have been lucky enough to develop myself and my career after a short time with the University and now spend every day delivering positive news to people starting or continuing their journey at ENU as well as supporting our stakeholders in everything talent and resourcing related.

Outside of work, you’ll find me exploring Scotland (or lost more likely) in the hills with my partner and golden retriever, Chase, slowly ticking off the 282 Munros!

I have been working in HR and recruitment since 2017. Originally working in the architecture and construction industry before deciding to pursue a new challenge and enter the world of higher education. Born in Australia, I made the decision to relocate to Edinburgh in 2020 to experience life in sunny Scotland.

When I'm not working, I enjoy snowboarding and barracking for my favourite Australian Football League team, the Western Bulldogs.

Louise Arnot

Talent and Resourcing Assistant

I have experience working in a variety of industries and have worked in the Higher Education sector since 2021. My gran worked as a lecturer at Napier University and my mum has worked in recruitment, so it must have been in the genes that I eventually ended up in this role!

Outside of work you will find me catching up with friends at the latest café or restaurant to open in town.

Anne Spence

Senior HR Adviser (Immigration and Compliance)

I started my HR career in Edinburgh in the private sector and completed my MSc in Human Resource Management part-time at ENU whilst working for a previous employer. I then joined ENU in 2015 as an HR Adviser and took up the Senior HR Adviser role at the end of 2021. My role is dedicated to immigration and compliance, and I support existing and new staff to obtain work visas for working at our Edinburgh campuses. As the immigration rules and visa routes change fairly frequently, there is always something new to learn. No two days are the same, and I value the opportunity to build my knowledge and provide helpful advice to others, alongside working with a kind, down to earth, supportive team.

Outside of work you’ll find me spending time with my greyhound Gerry, including many walks and trips to dog friendly pubs. I also enjoy Zumba and planning my next holiday abroad.
