Meet Alan! He is a seasoned Oil & Gas Operations Leader with over 30 years of international experience across Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, and now Midad Chemicals Company in Saudi Arabia. His career spans drilling fluids, drilling, workover, production, and well services, alongside senior roles in Quality, HSE, Operations Integrity, Business Development, and global change initiatives.
Currently supporting chemical manufacturing and commercial growth at Midad, Alan is recognised for building strong teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering sustainable results across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Guided by the principle “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail,” he brings disciplined leadership and strategic insight to every challenge.
As a recent MBA graduate of Edinburgh Napier University, and an advocate of lifelong learning, Alan is very happy to continue his association with Edinburgh Napier University through the Alumni Network, supporting and promoting the University in Saudi Arabia.
Outside of work, Alan is a passionate fan of rock music, an enthusiastic, if somewhat limited, guitarist, and enjoys spending time on the golf course whenever he can.
