Daniel Shand joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2018.
He is the author of two novels. His debut, Fallow, was awarded the Betty Trask Prize in 2017 for the best debut novel by a writer under 35. It was also shortlisted for the Saltire Society's First Book of the Year. His second novel, Crocodile, was shortlisted for the Encore Prize for Best Second Novel.
He is currently working on a speculative fiction novel, set in Edinburgh, focusing on emergent AI technology.
