I am a Lecturer in Intercultural Business Communication. I lead undergraduate modules in intercultural communication and one of the representatives (within the Tourism and Languages Group) in the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Committee at Edinburgh Napier Business School. In the meantime, I design and deliver intercultural training sessions for companies.
I have been supervising both Master’s (PG) and Bachelor’s (UG) dissertations whose topics resonate with my research interests, broadly speaking, intercultural business communication, (inter-)cultural identity, acculturation etc.
I was one of the organising committee members of the International Association for Languages and Intercultural Communication (IALIC) Conference 2017.
I completed the doctorate at Edinburgh Napier University in January 2018. My PhD thesis explored the dynamics of individual acculturation trajectory within student group work at university. At that time, I also worked as an EFL lecturer and support officer in the International Operations within the University.
Before doing my PhD, I achieved a B.A. in English Language and Literature and an M.A. in Western Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from two Chinese universities as well as an M.Sc. in Intercultural Business Communication at Edinburgh Napier University.
