Geoff is a leading communications and PR executive in the field of luxury branding.
He was previously Managing Partner of the New York-based agency, Jackanory PR, which specialises in telling compelling, engaging and authentic brand stories.
Prior to that he was Director of Communications and Brand Experiences at Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) from January 2004. In that role he was responsible for corporate communications strategies and initiatives for the company’s US operations, including media relations for product, brand and corporate communications, product placement, CSR, internal communications and special events.
Geoff came to MBUSA from his position as Communications Director for DaimlerChrysler UK where he was responsible for the strategic and operational development of the press, public relations and event programmes for Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep and smart brands in the UK.
Previously, from 1996–1999, Geoff ran his own agency and counseled a variety of clients on communications initiatives, including Mercedes-Benz UK, BBC Television and Radio, and other national and regional clients based in the UK.
Geoff has also held prior positions working on behalf of the Buckingham Palace Press Office and in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK government. He was also responsible for the media relations of the Scottish Tourist Board, promoting the country as a destination for domestic and foreign tourism.
He began his career in journalism working in local radio before spending several years as a presenter on a number of network daytime TV shows in the UK.
Geoff holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Edinburgh Napier University. He has also received an honorary Doctorate for Business Management.
