Biography

Kamolwan Sahakitpinyo is a Lecturer in Strategy at Edinburgh Napier University, specializing in strategic management and international business. With a strong background in strategic management consulting and private equity, Kamolwan has over seven years of industry experience, particularly in strategic renewal and strategic roadmap for state-owned enterprises and large to medium-sized ventures.
Kamolwan completed her PhD at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, where she focused on the evolution of business models of new ventures that participated in accelerators. Her research investigates how entrepreneurial ventures adapt and refine their business models within these structured environments, contributing valuable insights to the fields of entrepreneurship and business development.
In addition, Kamolwan is actively engaged in mentoring students, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, guiding them through business model design, and supporting their professional growth. She is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, fostering innovation, and contributing to the development of future business leaders.
In addition to her academic research, Kamolwan was involved as a graduate teaching assistant in International Strategic Management and participated in the 'Innovation Sprints' research project with a team from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her extensive skills in research methods and problem-solving, developed through her consulting background, drive her impactful research on business model evolution.
Kamolwan holds an MSc in Finance and Investment from the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) and a BBA in Finance with first-class honours from Mahidol University International College (Thailand). Her diverse academic background enhances her teaching and research, bringing a multifaceted approach to strategic management education.
