Biography

Matthew trained as a chartered accountant in Worcester and after completing the ACCA qualification decided to move into academic accounting. After completing a doctorate degree at Lancaster University he was appointed Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he served for five years. He returned to the UK in 2014 becoming Lecturer in Accounting at Edinburgh Napier.

He is SAL Quality Enhancement in The Business School and Programme Leader of the Accounting and Finance programmes in Hong Kong. He currently teaches in financial accounting, corporate finance and information systems courses in Edinburgh and Hong Kong.
