Faqhrul studied Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in Bangladesh. Having finished his Bachelor he moved to Munich, Germany in October 2011 to study M.Sc. in Transportation Systems at the Technical University Munich. During his master, he was involved in a European project as a student assistant in Department of Traffic Engineering and Control. After the completion of his third semester, he joined Imtech Traffic and Infra, The Netherlands for his combined internship and Master thesis project. Faqhrul conducted his thesis research on “Cooperative-ITS for Energy Efficient Intersection Control”. He joined Edinburgh Napier University in March 2015 as research degree student. Currently, he is working as a PhD student on the "Impact of Ubiquitous Real Time Passenger Information". His research interests are mainly Intelligent Transportation systems, Traffic engineering, and Sustainable Transport.
