Biography

Michelle O’Reilly, An internationally recognised expert in using simulated practice to facilitate learning, Michelle is the Clinical Director of the Simulation and Clinical Skills Centre in the School of Health and Social Care at Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom. Michelle has over twenty years experience as a registered nurse, working in the national health service in the UK and she strives to improve professional practice and the quality of patient care through active reflective learning. She has expertise in developing and facilitating authentic, immersive simulation sessions around both technical and non-technical skills across various disciplines both in UK, Singapore and internationally and has gained a prestigious National Teaching Fellowship for this work. She has led an expert team to deliver commissioned programmes of education on dementia in the UK.
