Biography
Dr. Peace Echeonwu is an accomplished emotional intelligence (EI) specialist with over five years of experience in researching, designing, and delivering interdisciplinary learning programs that motivate and empower both colleagues and students across diverse academic and professional fields. She recently completed her PhD at Edinburgh Napier University, where her research explored the critical relationship between emotional intelligence competence and project performance within the construction industry. Her work contributes to a deeper understanding of how emotionally intelligent leadership can enhance project outcomes, team dynamics, and organisational success in complex, high-pressure environments.
Recognised for her student-centred approach and commitment to inclusive education, Peace was awarded the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and nominated for the Above and Beyond Award 2023 in the Outstanding Student Experience category. Her teaching portfolio encompasses construction project management, psychology, and social science research methods, reflecting a strong pedagogical commitment to interdisciplinary and applied learning.
Peace has actively contributed to institutional initiatives, including the Strategic Enhancement Project, which supports international student transition and integration. Her leadership and advocacy roles demonstrate a strong focus on enhancing the student experience and promoting emotionally intelligent practices in both academic and industry settings.
She has presented her research at high-profile events such as the PMI Global Conference 2025 and led several public engagement initiatives, where she designed and facilitated workshops focused on emotional intelligence development for both students and professionals.
