Visiting Professor - Professor Carolyn Emery (University of Calgary) to present on concussion injury prevention in youth sport

A physiotherapist and sport injury epidemiologist, Professor Carolyn Emery’s research fields include sport injury epidemiology, randomised controlled trials in injury prevention in sport and rehabilitation in paediatrics and sport medicine.

The primary focus of her research program is the identification of risk factors for injury and evaluation of prevention strategies to reduce the risk of injury in youth sport and recreation. This includes prevention of concussion injury in youth sport, and longer term sequelae, including osteoarthritis, to promote active and healthy lifestyles.

In this talk, organised by Dr Debbie Palmer, she will present on concussion injury prevention in youth sport and talk about her most recent research.
