Dr Gemma Pugh is a Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London with a primary focus on physical activity promotion and behaviour change.

Dr Pugh graduated from The University of Glasgow with a first class degree in Physiology and Sport Science in 2014 before completing her PhD in Behavioural Science at University College London in 2017.

In this talk, organised by Dr Jacqui Mair, she will discuss the studies she carried out during her PhD investigating health behaviour change among Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) cancer survivors. This work led to the development of a habit based behaviour change intervention which is now being piloted among TYA cancer survivors in London. The work is funded by an RM Partners and Cancer Vanguard Pan-London research fellowship.
