Edinburgh Napier University has once more a great presence in the Scottish Cyber Awards, with six (direct and indirect finalists) in five categories.

The four direct nominations (in order of the official listing) are:

1. Best New Cyber Talent: Peter Aaby – Edinburgh Napier University
2. Cyber Evangelist of the Year: Basil (Vassillis) Manoussos – Edinburgh Napier University
3. Leading Light Innovation: SOCLAB – Satisnet/Edinburgh Napier University (Rich Macfarlane, Juanjo Mata De Acuna)
4. Best Cyber Education Programme: MSc in Advanced Security and Digital Forensics – Edinburgh Napier University (Rich Macfarlane)

The two indirect nominations are:

5. Best Cyber Start Up: Cyan Forensics (ENU spin-out)
6. Best New Cyber Talent: Kinga Kieczkowska – ZoneFox (currently teaching assistant at ENU)

The number of finalists in this year's awards is a reflection of the good work done by the School of Computing and all the people involved in our research, teaching and outward projects, including The Cyber Academy, and the SOCLAB, which is created and operated in partnership with SATISNET.

Good luck to every single one of our finalists.
