The National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP) Gradiva Awards are the top academic awards in the wide field of psychoanalysis. Prizes are awarded in a number of categories. Professor Neill's Lacan in Scotland seminar series provides a free forum for students, academic, practitioners and curious passers by to engage in topical debates relating to psychoanalysis both with and outwith the clinic. The seminar series has been running since 2017 but went fully online in 2021. It has since established itself as international force with regular attendees from all over the world. To be shortlisted for this prize is a fantastic accolade and real recognition of the value that the series and the University is adding to the global psychoanalytic community. Lacan in Scotland is very much a team affair, made possible by the invaluable work of current ENU PhD student Olly Cutler and former ENU PhD student Dr Amanda Diserholt.
