Official launch of SOCLAB, the new SOC facility in Merchiston Campus

The official launch of the SOCLAB was on the 11th April 2018.
The event was was attended by Principal Andrea Nolan, Dr Sally Smith, the Dean of School of Computing, Mrs Joanna Cherry MP (MP for Napier's constituency), Peter Ferry (Honorary Consul of Estonia), John McCann (Satisnet), Harry Mclaren (ECS), Steven Wallace (Full Proxy), Dr Jamie Grieves (Zonefox) and many others. In total more than 100 attendees from the Scottish Government, industry and academia attended. Prof Bill Buchanan OBE delivered a keynote speech during the event.
A series of presentations were scheduled in the afternoon prior to the official launch.
1:30pm: Quorum Cyber Demo (D.10).
2pm: Zonefox Demo (D.10).
2:30pm: Check Point Demo (D.10).
3pm: Satisnet – Cyber Kombat/QRADAR Demo (D.10).
3:30: ECS – Splunk Demo (D.10).
4pm: Symantec Demo (D.10).
The event was organised by Basil Manoussos, Manager of The Cyber Academy, who also hosted the event.
