  This report presents the findings of a mapping survey conducted by IPTS in collaboration with EUROCITIES as part of an exploratory research project on emerging ICT-enabled governance models in European cities (EXPGOV – http://is.jrc.es/pages/EAP/EXPGOV.html). The aim of this project is to deepen the understanding of the interplay between Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and governance processes at city level in the EU by providing evidence of the changes that ICTs are producing on city governance models.
This report also presents the consolidated results of the survey analysis. The key findings are put into a conceptual framework, developed during the research, and then policy implications and future research directions are discussed. The report attempts to identify the key enablers and the correlation between ICT- enabled applications and improved quality of public service delivery, in order to ensure that ICT initiatives in support of city governance can achieve a greater socio-economic impact
