Policing electronic information: threats to freedom of expression
  Considers two limits on freedom of expression in electronic
media: the regulation of the Internet and electronic
copyright. Examines these in two case studies, one on the
status of anarchist publishing on the Internet, the other on
the use of sampling in the creation of new recordings.
Notes that these limits have been applied most effectively
to small, alternative creators and publishers and result
from narrow views of electronic media. Recommends that
librarians address the use of electronic media in the light of
freedom of expression, rather than in commercial and legal terms.
