Report on the International Communication and Market Performance of Chinese Films in 2023
  This report analyses the challenges and opportunities faced by Chinese cinema in overseas markets during 2023, presenting the current development and future prospects of China’s film industry on the international stage, and offering recommendations for further expansion abroad.

Firstly, the report notes that while Chinese films have achieved considerable success domestically, they continue to encounter significant challenges internationally, such as language barriers, cultural differences, and intense competition. Secondly, it explores the opportunities available, including international collaboration, high-quality production, and globalised marketing strategies.

The report also examines how different genres of Chinese cinema impact overseas markets, arguing that genre films are better positioned to reach international audiences.
