has identified the introduction of multi-media content to their site as a mechanism to grow and expand their business. The project will enable the company to develop the skills to upload video content which could be resold to other news agencies. The increase traffic to the site would also make it more attractive to advertisers. The academic partner has the unique skill set to develop a plan to manage the video content workflow and structure a brief for content delivery coupled with expertise in creating multi-media journalistic content. The benefits to the Scottish economy are both financial and reputational. The new revenue stream created by the company will lead to increased turnover and job creation, while the availability, on the web, of high quality multi-media journalism pieces will contribute to Scotland’s profile.
