Annandale Distillery
As part of the practise to make whisky, the fermentation processes result in CO2 emissions from the 6 x 12,000 litre wooden washbacks. Each fermentation lasts for 72 hours, producing CO2 for the whole process. Consequently, the distillery would like to consider if there are processes that could harness the CO2 emission gas and mitigate its release, as well as further decarbonise the distillery in line with their published Sustainability Vision (Thomson & Church, 2021)
