Interconnect
INTERCONNECT is examining the role of local and regional interconnections in the context of longer distance passenger journeys in Europe, in order to address the potential for greater economic efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Factors investigated in the project include integration, co-operation and, where appropriate, competition in the provision of local connections across all transport modes.

The methodology that has been employed in the project includes literature reviews, interviews with key stakeholders and detailed investigations of selected case studies.
