No Barriers to Success: Safe space as a vehicle to promote personal and or career transitions for BAME OTs and Managers.
Outline Proposal due 7 May 2021. If sccessful will be invited to submit full bid by 16 July,

Very little is known about the barriers that prevent BAME Occupational Therapists (OT) from achieving academic excellence and facilitators that promote career progression. This research aims to co-create “safe spaces” for BAME OTs based on findings from co-produced workshops with BAME OTs and managers in the NHS, private and social care sectors, and investigate the changes in individuals, teams and organisations when affirmative, accountable and non-judgmental safe spaces are created to support and facilitate ‘No barriers to success’ for BAME OTs and their allies.
